Music

Want to hone your musical talents, exercise your vocal chords or explore an interest in music?

Whether you are a complete beginner or a professional musician, we have something for you. Our teaching staff of professional performers, composers and sound engineers work in a range of genres across the music industry.

Beginner-level singers or those with a little experience may choose between our Find Your Voice courses or Sing Gospel. Instrumentalists have a choice of piano, electric keyboard, ukulele, acoustic and electric guitar courses. Our year-long accredited courses give you the opportunity to take Rockschool Electric Guitar and Trinity Guildhall graded exams.

We offer a variety of music theory courses to prepare you for the Associated Board’s music theory graded exams, and workshops for budding songwriters. Our state-of-the-art Apple Mac music technology studio is equipped with Logic 9 and a range of essential hardware. Choose from introductory courses for beginners, or our NCFE Certificate and Extended Certificate in Music Technology for those with a little experience, covering everything from studio techniques to music business employability skills. We also provide training in radio production, DJ skills, podcasting and creative sound art courses.

Visit our student showcase on MySpace to hear students’ work and find further details of teaching staff.
