Computer Facilities
(Information Technology)
Both Amberley Road (18 PCs) and the Ebury Bridge (10 PCs) Learning Centres have multimedia PC workstations (using sound, images and text). They all run the latest Microsoft Office software. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
You can learn how to use all these programs or teach yourself to type with our interactive training materials. The LC also has a range of educational software for studying English and computing. Floppy disks for saving your work can be bought at the front desk for 60p.
The Amberley Road LC also has two G4 Apple Macs that run the latest graphic design and desktop publishing packages. You can obtain a CD-RW for saving larger files at the front desk.
All LC computer programs are supported by a range of manuals and training materials. Computers can be booked for up to 2 hours at the Help Desk, or by phoning.

There is also a list of web site addresses that can help support you with your studies. This can be accessed in the Learning Centre area of E-Zone.
Printing and Scanning
All PC's print directly to the black and white laser printer on the ground floor. There is a charge price of 4p per printout. Colour printing is only available from Apple Macs and the computers on the ground floor. Colour prints cost 50p or a £1 depending on the quality of the paper. Please specify if you would like access to a colour printer or scanner when you book a computer.
