Working in partnership
We aim to work in partnership with community groups, voluntary organisations and statutory services to make sure that, in Westminster, learning is easy for everyone to reach. Currently, we deliver courses in partnership with around 55 different organisations and community groups.
Community learning is usually a first step, often for people who may have had poor experiences of education in the past or little opportunity for learning. We aim to work with groups and individuals to encourage them to consider further progression, and to make this as easy as possible.
Some groups and organisations have a clear view of their learning needs and come to us to provide teaching, resources and crèche; others may want to do some exploration of the possibilities to help them identify their learning needs. Most of the learning opportunities we provide in the community are specifically designed to suit a particular group.
