Work Focused Training

If you are looking for work but also need help with your English and maths, we have the courses you need.

Make an appointment to see one of our assessors who will be able to help you choose the best course for you.

You will improve your English and maths while also learning skills that will help you find work.

This could include

• Reading job adverts
• Writing a CV
• Interview skills
• Understanding different departments in a company
• Interpreting a pay slip
• Health and Safety at work
• Customer care.

At the end of the course you will take an exam in Literacy or ESOL. This is a national qualification which is recognised and valued in the UK.

Course days and times:

First two weeks: Monday - Friday 09:30am - 15:00pm

Next six weeks: Monday -Thursday 09:30am - 12:30pm

Courses are free if you are on active benefits, and there are reduced fees for other learners, subject to eligibility.
