Explore a range of jewellery making technical skills and how to design and make a pendant and a ring. Learn the skills of cutting and fabricating metal such as: sawing, filing, soldering, texturing, polishing and shaping and forming metal.
Jewellery Skill Development (JE6015AM)
When: Wednesdays. 18 April - 27 June 2012. 10:00 - 16:00
This course is project based so you focus on personal interests and directions. Projects are devised in consultation with the tutor and may include some advanced construction and decorative techniques. Not suitable for beginners.
Jewellery Stone Setting. Evening Class (JE6014AM)
When: Thursdays 19 April - 28 June 2012. 18:00 - 21:00
Explore the basics of stone setting skills such as: constructing a tube setting, fitting the setting to a piece of jewellery, constructing a setting edge, setting the stone and burnishing the setting and polishing the final piece.
