Success for Jewellery Students at WAES

Three students graduating from the BTEC Level 3 jewellery course at WAES have just embarked on Higher Education Courses at two highly regarded London Universities.

Claudia Rice is now studying at Central Saint Martins on the BA Jewellery Design course. Gloria Manco and Margurite Chin have both started studying at London Metropolitan University.

All three students began making and designing jewellery at WAES, starting on beginners classes and continuing through to the level three BTEC course which offers students guidance and preparation for application, portfolio and interviews.

"My time and experience at Amberley has had a life changing effect on my future, giving me the confidence and skills to achieve the opportunity I've now been given. A University degree place at Central St Martin's. Having started as a beginner, I had not thought of the possibilities of taking it so far, as I was pregnant with my now, 4 year old daughter. I was given the support, encouragement and guidance to pursue it to level 3. I had such a fun time and made some great friends with staff and class mates.
