Apprentice Employment Coach x 2 Posts
Level 3 - £16,842 per annum
Fixed Term until 31 March 2020
Rewarding work, as you find work for others.
Westminster Employment Service (WES) is a high-performing and growing team, with a real commitment to training and development and a good record of staff retention. We work at the heart of City of Westminster – a diverse and vibrant borough, which is an essential part of London’s business, tourist and hospitality sectors.
In this rewarding apprenticeship, you will be helping your clients find their way into work – contributing to their general wellbeing and self-esteem, as well as giving them more economic freedom. As a result, it’s a very satisfying role, where you get to interact with a wide variety of people and grow professionally, as you learn more about housing, health, finance and economic regeneration.
You will be working towards managing your own caseload of clients eventually, but will start out with full support and training from our existing team. It’s all about helping people to find job vacancies, work experience, voluntary work or training and making use of the opportunities provided by our partners.
You’ll be looking at CVs, applications and supporting statements and then assisting clients as they prepare for interview. If they’re successful, you’ll also be there while they start out on their job – helping them to sustain their employment and progress.
We will of course provide core training through our Advisor Academy, which will provide you with the range of skills you need. You’ll also learn by shadowing colleagues and participating in various team and departmental meetings.
