Allergen Awareness Cookery

This one day course offers you the opportunity to prepare, bake and cook a selection of dishes, without the use of eggs, dairy or gluten based products. Here is an opportunity to use different ingredients such as gluten free flour and a selection of fruit, vegetables and dairy free alternatives to create dishes that cater for those with these specific allergies. You will make three items which will comprise a three course lunch or dinner ready for you to take home.

Artisan Bread Making

You will have the opportunity to make Sourdough bread, pre-fermented bread, flavoured bread and a plain and simple farm-house loaf. Well this is the course for you.You will make these choux products and then fill them with cream or a pastry cream and then dip them in chocolate. Making of Jams and Pickles

Homemade jams and pickles are one on the best things to eat when they have made from an abundance of fresh produce. Here is an opportunity to make your own, using the fruits and vegetables in season. If you have access to produce that grow naturally in gardens, parks and country side and you can pick them freely, do bring them along.If you have no produce to bring do not worry, ingredients will be provided along with jars and labels.

Victoria Sandwich and Cupcakes Galore

Next Starts: 26/05/2018
Here is an opportunity to learn how to make sponges for afternoon tea or for special occasions. In this session you will prepare a show stopping Victoria Sandwich and four flavoured cupcakes. You will learn how to flavour a sponge mix and flavour the butter cream icing that will be used to decorate them accordingly. You will practice piping and garnishing all your cakes. The four flavours that will be used are chocolate, coffee, lemon and vanilla. There is nothing nicer than a selection of homemade cakes for a birthday party or an afternoon with friends.
