Floristry Foundation for Beginners is a practical year long course, designed for people interested in a career in floristry but who have little or no previous experience. You will learn basic floristry skills and techniques week by week. You will also gain skills in completing written and computer based assignments which will enable you to progress to the ‘Introduction and Level 2 Certificate in Floristry course.

Introduction and Level 2 Certificate in Floristry is a year long, one day a week course. There is a 6 week introductory course, leading on to an intensive Level 2 City and Guilds Certificate in Floristry which is designed to lead you towards a career in floristry and to progress to the ‘Level 2 Diploma in Floristry’.

Level 2 Diploma in Floristry is a yearlong, intensive two day a week intermediate level City and Guilds course designed to provide opportunities for candidates to learn the skills and knowledge required by a junior florist or floral decorator. This course is for those who wish to study floristry at a commercial level and offers progression from our Level 2 certificate courses. This course also includes a 40-hour work experience module, which is highly valuable for finding future work opportunities.

Level 3 Certificate in Floristry is an intensive one term course, designed as an advanced study course for florists, especially those progression from the Level 2 Diploma. Additional skills are taught to create diverse and high-quality designs with suitable flowers and foliage for weddings, functions and events such as banquets, fundraisers and balls.

This is a short introductory course, leading on to an intensive Level 2 City and Guilds Certificate in Floristry.
On the 6 week introduction you will cover colour theory, some basic floristry techniques, some plant names, as well as introducing the written and digital requirements of the course. On completing the introduction successfully in term one you will progress to the Level 2 Certificate

Please note, this is a WAES certified course, and will allow you to progress onto our 'Introduction and Level 2 Certificate in Floristry' course.
