These courses for adults follow the progression on the previous page to prepare you for summer GCSE examinations, qualifications which are often an entry requirement for higher education.

Funded by the UK government, the year-long GCSE courses require commitment to attend class and study outside of lesson time.

GCSE Maths

On the GCSE Maths course you will develop your knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts, techniques and helps you cultivate a set of mathematical skills for further study. By taking this course, you will become more confident in applying mathematical techniques and concepts to solve problems as well as develop an understanding of the importance of maths in everyday life.

Level 3 Advanced Subsidiary GCE in Mathematics

Studying maths has the potential to lead to careers which are financially very well rewarded. Careers for people with good maths skills and qualifications are not only well paid, but they are interesting and rewarding. People who have studied maths are in the fortunate position of having excellent career choices. This course has three main elements i.e. Pure maths, Statistics and Mechanics. Careers in Science, Medicine, Engineering and Software development are just a few examples where a high level of mathematical understanding is required.
