This course will introduction you to the core skills of pattern cutting, enabling you to use basic blocks to create simple patterns. You will learn how to drape on the stand and how to extract a pattern from your design and reproduce it in toile fabric.
This course covers the basic beginner-level wheel-throwing techniques such as clay preparation and wedging, centering, throwing a cylinder, making bowls and drinking vessels, turning a footring and adding handles. Learners will have one wheel each. Learners will also be able to try simple decoration techniques with slips and on the last session, to glaze some of their produced work.

This AutoCAD beginner course is designed to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of the software and develop the skills you need to create 2D drawings. Over the duration of the course, you will learn how to navigate the AutoCAD interface, create basic geometry, use drawing aids and tools, organize your drawings and work with layouts.
Please note, this is a WAES certified course, and will allow you to progress onto our Level 2 AutoCAD course.
The AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping offers students the opportunity to develop practical bookkeeping skills. This qualification may help students to move on to further study in either accountancy or bookkeeping with AAT, offer a route into employment or be of interest to those already in employment. This qualification will particularly suit those students who have had minimal work experience or those who need some additional support to progress.
This programme consists of a Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping, and a Level 1 Award in Business studies. In addition, the programme also offers students the opportunity to prepare for the Level 2 AAT. The purpose of the Level 1 Award in bookkeeping qualification is to provide you with a basic introduction to the bookkeeping skills necessary for entry level roles.
