What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
This course is for you if you have already completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and are already a Student Member of this internationally recognised and respected Accounting body. You must also have very good English and Maths along with good IT skills, and be in a real work situation - i.e. Work Experience.
What topics does the course cover?
The course covers the following units: Accounts Preparation, Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, Costs & Revenues, Indirect Tax, Professional Ethics and Spreadsheet Software.
How will I be taught and assessed?
You will learn in computer rooms and will have the choice of Daytime or Evening courses.Assessment on this course is by means of Computer-based examinations (7) which are staged throughout the course.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
You need to provide your own folder and pens. The most appropriate books recommended for this course will be discussed in the first lesson. The buying of the books is the learners responsibility unless told otherwise.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
The course will give successful learners the skills and knowledge to work competently in a Finance, Accounting or Book-keeping role.
What are the progression opportunities following this course?
At the end of this course you will have the opportunity to progress your studies further with the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting at other Colleges, and thereby obtaining full membership of the AAT.
