What is the course about?
"Parent workshop on the transformative power of books. Learn how important and empowering it is for a child to read about people from their own culture and people who have similar experiences that they can relate to; discover how to choose the best books to help your child expand their knowledge, and their potential, by learning about and appreciating the experiences of others. You will need access to a screen: smartphone, laptop, computer or tablet. A FREE activity pack will be sent out to all Westminster residents enrolled on this course. "

No prior experience is required.
What topics does the course cover?
How will I be taught and assessed?
There is no formal assessment. This is an online course and you will have access to an experienced tutor who will share the programme with you.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
There are no costs, this workshop is free. You will need access to a Tablet, Smart phone or a PC (with audio). This course will be delivered through the platform Zoom or Teams. Pencils, pen and paper are needed.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
You will know how to better support your child in their learning, and you will understand the school curriculum better.
