What is the course about?
This one-day glass jewellery masterclass is designed as an introduction to the various techniques involved in creating fused glass pieces, guiding you through the fundamentals of glass cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping as well as creating voids & bubbles. A great introduction for beginners or artists to experiment while producing your own masterpiece using sheet glass, frits, stringers and wire.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
No prior glass experience is necessary, just enthusiasm.
What topics does the course cover?
The fundamentals of glass cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping as well as creating voids & bubbles.
How will I be taught and assessed?
First, a demonstration will be given followed by students carrying out the tasks. Continual support and guidance will be provided throughout the session.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
All basic materials are provided and are included in the price of the course.

You will have created a piece of jewelry and improved your knowledge and skills within the craft.
