What is the course about?
FLASH IS - a fabulous software application used for animation and interactive products. In this course we concentrate on creating simple animations and animated web banners we will introduce you to FLASH actionscript which allows user interactivity.
Is a pre-enrolment interview or assessment required for this course?
What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
Level 1. You should be a confident computer user. This is NOT a beginners computer course. It would be beneficial if you had some experience working with an image editor such as Photoshop and/or a drawing tool such as Illustrator.
What topics does the course cover?
You will create several animations in which you'll explore how to use the timeline using tweening and symbols. You will also explore how to create interactivity using basic action script. Exporting your files for use in web or interactive products.
How will I be taught and assessed?
You will be taught by a ADOBE CLOUD (formerly ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE) expert. In our intensive courses you concentrate on one single software package, so you learn fast. Your Tutor will Guide the class through the techniques and support you as you complete the exercises. You will use the latest ADOBE CLOUD software applications on MAC computers in our Design Studios.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
Notebook and pen. Bring along a USB stick to collect any work you make. If you don't have FLASH you can use the College Learning Centre to practice or you can download a free trial from Adobe Cloud.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
Know the purpose of FLASH and work on your own FLASH project.

You can progress onto our WEB DESIGN courses or take any of our other intensive software courses. If you would like to find out more about Graphic Design, you can take a qualification course such as the Graphic Design Level 1 which introduces you to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as graphic techniques.
