What is the course about?

Learn the basics of drawing including introduction to tone, line, perspective and how to create successful compositions. You will learn observational techniques, how to develop more expressive approaches using various drawing materials._x000D_

This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate learners, no prior experience or qualifications are required._x000D_

What topics does the course cover?

Understanding how to construct drawings from a compositional point of view. Creating depth and atmosphere, placing objects and figures in space using light and shadow. Using expressive mark-making. Using imagination within drawing._x000D__x000D_Working from still life objects and then leading on to personal projects which might include, figures, cityscapes and landscapes in order to work with a range of techniques.

How will I be taught and assessed?

One to one tuition, group tuition, demonstrations, ILPs, evaluation and assessment which will include personal learning targets based on previous experience and progress during the course._x000D__x000D_

By the end of the course what should I be able to do?

By the end of this course learners will be able to confidently complete a drawing from observation and also from reference material, which will involve, line, tone and perspective._x000D_
