Yes, please contact our customer services before enrolling.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?

This is a level 1 English progression course, if you are not a current learner with WAES we will need to see proof of your current levels and may request that you take an online and written assessment to ensure that you have retained the requisit amount of skills & knowledge needed for this class.

What topics does the course cover?

The course will cover three elements, each chosen to support your transition from level 1 Functional Skills to GCSE. They are: skills used in reading for meaning, spelling rules and strategies in practical use and writing for meaning skill.

How will I be taught and assessed?
