What is the course about?
This qualification is designed for a wide range of learners who wish to develop their understanding of autism and the principles of supporting individuals with autism. It covers the person-centred approach and influence of positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour and how individuals with autism can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
Complete BSKB Initial assessment of English and Maths and free writing at Least at a Level 1.
What topics does the course cover?
Positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour and how individuals with autism can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
How will I be taught and assessed?
You will be assessed by your tutor/ assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as designing charts or leaflets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
£70 for One file and photo-copy.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
This qualification provides stepping stones for those who wish to move into employment and complete either the Level 2.
What are the progression opportunities following this course?
Progress on to level 2 qualification in Childcare or Health and social care.
