What is the course about?
In this qualification you will master more complex accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants. For UK students, if you are considering going on to study at university, this qualification will also attract UCAS points. What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
Successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Accountancy is essential. This will have provided you with the underpinning knowledge to develop your professional skills further. You will also need GCSE English and Maths at Grade C+ or level 4+, or functional skills at Level 2.

How will I be taught and assessed?
This course will be taught both on line and classroom based taking into account national health circumstances at the time of study. On line tutorials; projects and group work, video tasks and scenarios, along with individual 121 tutorials. Assessments are exam based which will be on site at our Lisson Grove centre. Each unit is assessed individually and the course also has an overarching synoptic assessment which will ask students to apply knowledge and skills gained across the qualification in an integrated way, within a workplace context. Scenarios will change over time to ensure the validity of the assessment
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
You will be required to fund your membership of AAT so that you can sit your exams, however, if you are on low income or in receipt of applicable benefits, you will not be required to pay a fee. We may also be able to provide a laptop*. You will need regular access to a computer or laptop and reliable internet service to complete this course. Once enrolled, you will be able to download a free copy of Microsoft Office and will be given access to Microsoft office 365.
