What is the course about?
For parents of children in Year 1 and 2. This is the time children begin to learn key principles of maths that will be the building blocks to their understanding all through their maths education. Learn how to help your children become confident and flexible thinkers who enjoy investigating number. We will explore the key areas of maths they are learning in school and how this may differ to our own schooling. This is part of a series of three FREE ONLINE workshops.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
No prior experience is required.
What topics does the course cover?
How will I be taught and assessed?
There is no formal assessment. This is an online course and you will have access to an experienced tutor who will share the programme with you.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
There are no costs, this workshop is free. You will need access to a Tablet, Smart phone or a PC (with audio). This course will be delivered through the platform Zoom or Teams. Pencils, pen and paper are needed.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
You will know how to better support your child in their learning, and you will understand the school curriculum better.
