What is the course about?
On this taster session, you will learn to make a monotype print. This is created by rolling ink up or painting onto an acetate surface, then printed by hand pushing the paper on the acrylic sheet with a clean roller. This printmaking technique will give you plenty of ideas for future artwork, handmade postcards and wrapping paper.
Is a pre-enrolment interview or assessment required for this course?
No.
What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
This course is designed for complete beginners with an interest in printmaking and would like to know more. You don’t need any prior experience.

Learn the basic principles of monotype printmaking.

Group demonstration and 1-2-1 support.

By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
You will be able to demonstrate the basic principles of monotype printmaking and have made a few unique prints to take home.
