What is the course about?
This course is about improving your pronunciation and general conversation skills.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
This course is aimed at learners at an Intermediate Entry Level 3 or Upper Intermediate Level 1.
What topics does the course cover?
Pronounce a range of vowel and consonant sounds more easily and accurately. Stress the correct syllables in words. Stress the correct words in sentences to express your meaning. Speak with more natural-sounding rhythm in English. Practice general conversation to improve your fluency and accent. Learn how to use advanced grammar and structures, such as idioms and phrasal verbs.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Class work will sometimes be in pairs or small groups, and sometimes as a whole group. Your tutor will also work with you individually. The focus will be primarily on speaking and listening activities. You will receive individualised feedback from the teacher.
Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
You will need a pen, some lined A4 paper and a file to keep your work in. Your tutor will provide hand-outs and worksheets. You may wish to buy a course book for self study - which your tutor may recommend.
By the end of the course what should I be able to do?
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. You should be able to use English in a wide variety of situations, using formal and informal language as appropriate and native level expressions and phrases. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
