What is the course about?
If you have never drawn before, or feel out of practice, this course is ideal. You will explore three different kinds of mark-making, using ink pencil and wash. You will be guided through a series of exercises, starting by observing simple objects. You will be shown how to create volume and how to make a drawing convincing, for example by using light and shadow.
Is a pre-enrolment interview or assessment required for this course?
What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
No experience is required, only a desire to draw.
What topics does the course cover?

How will I be taught and assessed?
Via demonstration and discussion, one to one support and personal practical work. You will be given feedback on your progress throughout the session. There is no formal assessment for this course.

All materials will be provided.

You will have developed your confidence in drawing and the application of simple techniques.
