Train to become a Personal Trainer in Westminster

This programme will equip you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to become a Personal Trainer and incorporates fitness instructing for gym-based exercises and health together with personal training.

Successful completion of this innovative programme can lead to employment in gyms, leisure centres, independent providers or as a self-employed Personal Trainer. This is a nationally recognised qualification where you will be able to access accreditation through the Register of Exercise Professionals REPs which is a recognised across the world providing you with further work opportunities.

During the programme you will learn how to offer group and individual exercise programmes using a range of equipment and approaches. You will study Anatomy and Physiology to understand how our bodies work and how they will respond positively to exercise programmes. You will study nutrition and how to guide your participants to achieving healthy approaches to nutrition working within nationally recognised guidelines. Anatomy and Physiology are both assessed through exam papers and level 2 and 3 also have a practical assessment to complete.

Over the 8 weeks of practice and theory, this course will equip you for the world of work in the fitness industry.

Gym Membership

Participants will get free access to the gym on their two study days, plus two extra sessions each week for the duration of the course. This is a great opportunity to develop your own physical fitness, observe professional gym practiceand get ready for your practical assessments.

  • On the online application system, you will need to create a registration by clicking on 'Create an Account' or log in if you already have an account
  • Once you have completed your online application, you will be able to select an interview date.
