Frequently Asked Questions

When does term start?

The new term officially starts on 14 September 2020. This is the earliest that courses will start. Your classes will start on or after that date. We will send you information on the date and time of your first lesson and we will include information about where the class will be held. Some lessons will be at our centres, and some lessons will be online.

We are combining classroom teaching with online lessons so that we can ensure that everyone is safe when they come to our buildings. We are rearranging classes so that we have smaller numbers of people in the building at one time, which will allow us to ensure distancing is observed and cleaning can take place throughout the day.

You will receive information closer to the start of your course, but if you do not get information, please send us an email at info@waes.ac.uk and make sure we have your contact details. Our phone lines are very busy at the moment, so it would help us a great deal if you are able to email us rather than phoning.

Is WAES open?

Our centres are open, but we are practicing safe distancing, so it would be helpful if you can do your application online. Instructions are available here.

Are classes running at the centres?

We are working to combine online learning with face-to-face sessions in ways that will keep everyone safe and also allow the best learning experience possible. We are limiting the numbers of staff and learners on site so that the space is safe for everyone.

Some of our classes will be online and we will help you get started if you have any difficulties.
