First solo show for former student!

Westminster resident, Geraldine Crimmins is currently artist in residence at Old Diorama Arts Centre, where she showcases her art in her first solo exhibition, ‘Painted Ladies’, in April.

Geraldine turned her life around by returning to education and enrolling on an art course in 2013 at Westminster Adult Education Service following a difficult time in her life, as a result of suffering a breakdown and losing her home and two businesses.

While studying, Geraldine drew on her homeless experiences working for the charity CRISIS by contributing to the running of Cafe Art, to help and inspire others in need.

Nominated by her college art tutor, in 2016 Geraldine won 2016 Festival of Learning  London and South East Outstanding Individual award, led by Learning & Work Institute, for her outstanding achievement in adult learning and contribution to her local community.

Geraldine’s exhibition, at the Drummond Street venue in Regent’s Place, is from Wednesday 18th April until Sunday 13th May, open 11am – 5pm daily.
