National Apprenticeship Week Celebration and Awards 2023

WAES celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by organising an awards ceremony for our apprentices and participating employers at The Lord Mayor’s Parlour in Westminster City Hall. This event was to recognise the hard work and dedication it takes to study as an apprentice and to be an organisation providing the experience to a Learner in collaboration with WAES.

The evening opened with a talk from, WAES Principal and Head of Service, Arinola Edeh followed by a speech from guest speaker Amanda White from Creative and Cultural Skills who also presented trophies and certificates to our Apprentices on the day.

A presentation from our Apprenticeship Course Leader Jenny Pistella who spoke about how great apprenticeships are, highlights and the future aspirations of WAES Apprenticeships.

  • We want to be the leading provider in London for apprenticeships in the creative and cultural sectors.
  • We want to continue to deliver high quality teaching and Learning.
  • We want to grow our partnerships and networks to offer our apprentices the best opportunities.

Jenny received a special thanks from Gail Isaac, Head of Apprenticeships and Professional Pathways at WAES, for her delivery of quality teaching to the learners. Jenny’s passion and expertise for apprenticeships is visible throughout the course. The night ended with a networking and photo session with refreshments.
