Make a difference this year and help people learn English

Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) are recruiting volunteer Friends for our next Talk English project, starting September 2017.

The Talk English Friends project encourages ESOL learners to take part in a range of fun activities, paired with Friend volunteers.

We are looking for volunteers who can give up to 4 hours a week, between September and December.

We provide training, mentoring and support to help you participate in positive, rewarding and enjoyable activities with individual learners or small groups. Volunteering as a Friend is a great way to gain experience, develop new skills and make a genuine difference.

The free training and support will prepare you for your role as a Talk English Friend. You will also be able to claim travel expenses and join in Talk English Activities. Please download and complete the application form ahead of the training dates.
