Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2025

National Apprenticeship Week 2025 (#NAW2025) has been an exciting time at WAES, filled with inspiring events, hands-on workshops, and celebrations of apprentice achievements.

The week kicked off with a Canal Boat Art Workshop, led by our Cultural and Participation Development Officer apprentice. Learners explored their creativity while learning about the skills apprenticeships can offer in the arts and cultural sector.

For those considering apprenticeships, our Introduction to Apprenticeships session provided information into earning whilst learning as a great alternative to university.

We also hosted an employer event, bringing together businesses and apprentices to discuss career opportunities, the benefits of hiring apprentices, and how apprenticeships are shaping the future workforce.

The week concluded with a special Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony sponsored by the London Heritage Quarter, at Lord’s Cricket Ground, where outstanding apprentices and employers were recognised for their dedication and success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating apprenticeships! Interested in becoming an apprentice then visit our Apprenticeships page to find out more information.
