What is the course about?
If you’re interested in improving the energy efficiency of UK homes and exploring a career in retrofit, sustainability, property maintenance, or energy consultancy, this course is for you. If you live in England and can study on Mondays and Tuesdays, this course is the ideal way to start your career in the green skills sector.
The course is delivered online, on Monday and Tuesday for 5 weeks. There is an online exam at the end of the course, which you can do from home.

We don’t require previous experience or qualification within construction sector, but you should have Level 2 English or above and be able to understand and follow simple verbal instructions.

The course is delivered online using a mix of interactive learning methods. You’ll learn through short lectures, demonstrations
At the end of the course there will be a 60-minute online exam. If you are successful in this exam, you will receive your qualification.

Learners may progress to working in the retrofit and sustainability industry, property maintenance and energy consultancy if they already have a trade qualification or progress onto the Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessor.
