Do your English and maths skills stop you getting where you need to be?
Our courses will enable you to improve your reading and writing or numeracy and measurement. Courses run throughout the year at our main WAES centres in Westminster at a variety of times in the week, including some courses on Saturdays. Most of our English and maths courses have exam accreditation, but we also have non-exam courses so learners can focus on building skills and confidence at a level without exam pressure. Our exam courses are accredited by Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills exams.
Our Functional Skills courses can also help you with other courses that you can study at WAES such as childcare, health and social care, computing and graphic design courses.
To enrol on one of our Functional Skills English or maths courses you’ll need to complete an initial assessment prior to enrolment so we can place you on the correct course for your level, or refer you to a more suitable department (for example ESOL, as necessary).
