This Community course helps you develop the English communication skills needed to succeed in the workplace and during the job search process. Over six weeks, you will build confidence in both written and spoken communication through practical, real world tasks. The course also supports the development of key transferable skills—such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork—often referred to as Fusion Skills.

This short, practical course is designed to help you unlock your speaking confidence and express yourself with ease. Using fun communication activities and simple drama techniques, you’ll explore how to use your voice, body language and personal presence to make a stronger impact. Whether you want to feel braver speaking in groups, join conversations more easily or share your ideas with confidence, this course gives you a friendly and supportive space to practise, experiment and find your voice.

This Community training session supports volunteers and anyone who wants to strengthen their communication skills in a super diverse city like London. The course introduces practical tools for active and adaptive listening, helping you communicate with clarity, empathy and flexibility. You will also explore intercultural communication, learning simple and effective ways to connect with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including speakers of English as a Second Language (ESOL).

This workshop is designed to support volunteers and community workers who want to run engaging and effective ESOL conversation clubs. It focuses on how to create welcoming, interactive sessions that help English language learners build confidence, improve fluency, and connect with their communities through informal speaking practice. The training is practical in nature, offering ideas, approaches, and activities that make conversation clubs enjoyable, inclusive, and impactful.
