Environment & Sustainability

Environment & Sustainability

WAES is expanding its curriculum offer for the 2024/25 academic year, recognising the green sector’s need for a growing, diverse workforce, across areas like retrofit assessment and building information modelling. Qualifications in the specialised skills required to work in this growing sector will be taught in our new Green Skills Innovation Centre, linked to our Lisson Grove centre, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including an immersive teaching space.

In the meantime, we already offer the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Climate Change and Environment as a Distance Learning course, which you can view below.

Funded Courses

For the following courses, you may be eligible for full or partial government funding or a loan, depending on factors like your age, location, residency status, employment situation, or income.

Green Live Learning Lab

The Green Live Learning Lab is about using your local area to learn about sustainability. We will learn how we can help the environment through changing how we live in our homes, and we will visit local sites to see examples of this.
