Study hair and media make-up in London with Westminster Adult Education Service
Our hair and media make-up courses are designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed as professional hair and media make-up artists.
Our tutors are experienced media make-up artists and hairdressers who work in the industry and have the latest knowledge of products and techniques.
WAES hair and media make-up students have the opportunity to attend industry-related events such as Olympia Beauty, International Makeup Artists Trade Show and Professional Beauty London as well as attending talks and demonstrations from industry experts both on site and off site. At the end of the year, students get to showcase their hair and make-up skills and knowledge on the models at our end-of-year fashion show.
We have beginner level courses at Entry 3 and Level 1 which provide a thorough introduction to make-up skills, special effects make-up, prosthetics make-up, hairstyling, face painting and airbrushing with cosmetics. These introductory courses allow for progression onto Level 2 Women’s Hair Dressing and Barbering or Level 2 Media Make-up. Upon successful completion of a Level 2 course, you can progress onto a Level 3 course. See our courses for detailed information on course content and entry requirements.
Our Facilities
Westminster Adult Education Service’s hair and make-up studios are located at the Lisson Grove Centre in London NW8. WAES’s fully kitted make-up and hair studios set the perfect scene for learners looking to get started in industry or looking to develop existing techniques.
