Functional Skills Maths

We offer Functional Skills Maths from Entry Level through to Level 1, with some courses starting in September and others starting in February.

GCSE Maths

GCSEs are required by most employers and by higher education institutions. It is therefore advisable to take GCSE English and maths and improve your prospect of accessing higher education or have better employment opportunities. These year-long courses, starting in September, require commitment to attend class and study outside of lesson time.

If you intend to study maths and English, please consider whether you do need to study both courses in a single academic year. Studying both maths and English GCSE in one year is a big commitment in terms of time for homework and preparation, as well as keeping focused on two subjects. Enrolment on two simultaneous GCSE courses will therefore be at the discretion of the course advisor, dependent on individual circumstances. Being realistic about your time and capacity in advance will avoid potential issues such dropping one course before the end, or getting lower grades because you were unable to focus fully on both courses.

AS Level Maths

For those hoping to go a step above GCSE, we offer an AS Level in Maths starting in September.
