We offer preparatory, Functional Skills and GCSE courses to help you improve your mathematical skills and pride ourselves on our high success rates. You will learn valuable numerical skills that can be used in the workplace or in everyday life. GCSE Maths is also required by many employers and universities, so gaining the qualification will open new career and study opportunities for you.
If you are not looking to work towards a qualification at this time, you might instead be interested in applying for our Gain Confidence in Maths courses.
Our Maths courses include the following:
Applicants for all our Maths courses must complete an assessment before enrolling onto one of our courses and will be provided specialised advice from our course team on which course may be suitable.
We also offer a fee-paying Level 2 Functional Skills Maths course for learners who are highly proficient in maths and need to obtain a Level 2 qualification (equivalent to GCSE Maths) for employment, university entry, or further study. Please note that this is a fast-track course. Learners are expected to complete approximately 50% of the course materials independently through our designated online learning platform, with the remaining learning delivered through classroom-based sessions. Classes take place on a Saturday for 3 hours per week over an 11-week period. We offer two intakes each year: November and April.
Our Maths courses are free to most learners who do not already have a GCSE at grade 4/C or above. There is a charge for the Level 2 Functional Skills Maths course.
Courses are offered at various times and venues to fit in with your other commitments.
| Timing | Days per week* | Hours per week* | Centre(s) |

| Mornings | 1 or 2 days | 2 hours 30 minutes – 5 hours | Lisson Grove / Pimlico / Amberley Road |
| Afternoons | 1 or 2 days | 2 hours 30 minutes – 4 hours | Lisson Grove / Pimlico / Amberley Road |
| Evenings | 1 day | 2 hours 30 minutes | Lisson Grove |

The majority of our courses start in September, with some also starting in February. GCSE Maths is only available to start in September.
You can also choose to study on one of our English courses whilst on a Maths course. However, we do not recommend completing both GCSE courses in one year, as it is a very big time commitment to attend class and complete homework and preparation over a year. Enrolment onto two simultaneous GCSE courses will therefore be at the discretion of the course adviser and dependent on individual circumstances. Being realistic about your time and capacity in advance will avoid potential issues like dropping one course before the end or getting a lower grade.
For the following courses, you may be eligible for full or partial government funding or a loan, depending on factors like your age, location, residency status, employment situation, or income.
