Arinola Edeh CBE is the Principal of Westminster Adult Education Service, with over 30 years of public sector experience, 20 of which are in further and adult education. She has always championed education as a transformative force for individuals and communities and has been able to significantly contribute to sector policy changes in recent years.
Wearing her wider City Council hat, Arinola is part of the Regeneration Economy and Planning Senior Leadership Team, acting as a vital bridge between WAES and the Council to keep things running in line with the City Council’s priorities. Nationally, Arinola is one of the Directors of HOLEX, the lead membership body for Adult Community Education professionals, leading policy discussions on equality, diversity, inclusion and the sustainability and climate action agenda. She also represents HOLEX on the GLA’s Skills for Londoners Board.
As a returnee migrant with dual nationality, Arinola’s personal journey fuels her passion for promoting education’s transformative power to inspire real and sustainable change. She is dedicated to helping individuals and communities rediscover a love of learning for work and life. In June 2024, she was recognised for her contributions to Adult Education in the King’s Birthday Honours.
