My name is Adeleke Ebo, but everyone calls me Leks. I’m passionate about personal development and digital education. I hold a degree in Advertising & Brand Management, which I obtained in 2017. I enrolled on the Full Stack Web Development course at WAES in May 2024 to expand my digital portfolio and strengthen my career prospects.
Before joining WAES, I was focused on my personal development, taking various courses to boost my career. I taught digital online courses, and my background in Advertising & Brand Management gave me a strong foundation in communication and creativity. However, I didn’t have a steady income at the time, which motivated me to seek new opportunities and skills.
I applied for the Full Stack Web Development course because I wanted to improve and add valuable skills to my digital portfolio. The course offered a practical approach and the chance to learn in-demand technologies, which was exactly what I needed to progress in my career.
The course involved a lot of self-learning, which was challenging but rewarding. Staying determined, engaging in the work, and attending classes made a big difference. I enjoyed the collaborative environment and the support from tutors and classmates. My goal was to solidify my learning and become confident in web development.
My greatest achievement was completing the Full Stack Web Development course and using it as a springboard to take on further courses, including an Advanced ESOL teaching course. I’m proud that my journey didn’t end with graduation, I continued learning and eventually became a teacher at WAES myself.
The course helped solidify my skills and gave me the confidence to pursue further education and new opportunities. It led me to teach at WAES, which has allowed me to support others in their learning journeys. The impact extends to my family and community, as I’m able to inspire and help others achieve their goals.
If you’re thinking about studying at WAES, stay determined and engage fully in the course. Attend classes, ask questions, and make use of the support available. WAES provides a fantastic environment for growth, and the skills you gain will open doors you might not expect. Go for it, you won’t regret it.
