Nurten Samdanli

I am originally from Turkey. I started at WAES four years ago on a teaching assistant course. As part of this course I’m currently studying Digital skills, English and math as well. I took the risk to change my career by leaving my job in business development to spend more time with my children. 

Before enrolling onto my courses, I did my research and visited the WAES nursery. The process was simple, especially after meeting the senior nursery team. I felt confident to leave my little girl in their safe hands to be honest and they assured me that my child will be kept safe and will have so much fun whilst I study in the same building.

I really enjoyed interacting with other mothers who are also going through a career change in their life. All the challenges they were going through was similar to mine, so I never felt out of place.

In the future I would like to teach children English in Turkey, which will help them to succeed in their future. There is still a long journey, I know, but I have the confidence to get there with the support of WAES.
