Sana Zeeshan

I am a resident of West London a mother of four children, aged 4 to14 years. For many years, I have navigated significant mental health challenges, including social anxiety, agoraphobia, and panic attacks, which unfortunately prevented me from pursuing employment. However, determined to redirect my focus toward personal growth, I enrolled in the ‘Diploma in Hairdressing and Media Makeup’ at WAES last year, a decision that marked a transformative turning point in my life.

This course not only equipped me with comprehensive technical skills in makeup artistry and hairstyling but also rekindled my sense of purpose and self-worth. I am deeply grateful to my instructor, Miss Aferdita, whose exceptional professionalism, patience, and kindness were instrumental in my journey. Her dedication inspired me to excel, and I was profoundly honoured to receive the ‘Highly Commendable’ award at the Learner Awards an achievement that instilled in me a renewed sense of pride and capability.

Buoyed by this newfound confidence, I successfully undertook volunteer assignments at a Bridal fest 2026’ fashion and lifestyle event, gaining invaluable practical experience. This educational endeavour has been nothing short of life-changing, significantly bolstering my self-esteem and reaffirming my potential. I remain humbled by these accomplishments and am eager to continue building on this positive momentum toward a meaningful career. I will be starting a diploma in Level 2 Hairdressing at WAES in September 2026/27.
