During London Fashion Week, WAES Media Make-Up learners showcased their creativity and professional skills at Threads of Heritage: Fashion Show, part of the Your Story Festival at Union Chapel in London.
The learners were responsible for creating the make-up looks for the models, helping bring the fashion show to life through their artistic talent, creativity and attention to detail.
Inspired by themes of identity, heritage and community, the event celebrated the power of artistic collaboration, bringing together designers, models and make-up artists to share their talents and stories. The Youth Panel collaborated with Grassroots Arts Studios, a creative hub championing artistic expression, inclusivity and community engagement.
For the WAES learners, taking part provided a valuable opportunity to apply their skills in a live event setting, gain practical experience and contribute to a celebration of culture, creativity and self-expression.
Their work helped enhance the overall presentation of the show, demonstrating the talent and potential of WAES Media Make-Up learners and their ability to contribute to exciting creative projects within the arts and fashion industries.
