WAES offers a selection of bootcamps, including Skills Bootcamps for Londoners. Our Full Stack Web Development with AI Bootcamp course that started on 3 November 2025 is a Skills Bootcamp.
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
They are open to learners who are employed, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to work, but they must have the right to work in the UK and not currently be in full-time education.
Course information, including course requirements, expected outcomes and the application process, can be found on the Full Stack with AI Bootcamp course page.
We work with employers and other organisations that can provide jobs, work experience or volunteering opportunities to our learners when they complete their course.
Skills Bootcamps in London are funded by the Mayor of London and the Department for Education. They are free for eligible Londoners aged 19+ or co-funded for employers looking to upskill staff.
This course is delivered in partnership with Code Institute and you will need to register your interest with them and complete their Coding Challenge before enrolling with us.
Once you have successfully completed the Coding Challenge, Code Institute will refer you to complete a WAES application so you can be invited for an interview. As part of the interview process, you will be required to complete a short, 15-20 minute programming assessment, along with assessments for English, maths and wider digital skills, designed to help us better understand your current level, so please ensure you are prepared to complete these during your interview session.
We are running this course twice this academic year, with one cohort starting on 3 November 2025 as a Skills Bootcamp, and one starting on 9 March 2026 as a WAES bootcamp.
The “Full Stack Bootcamp” is a 16-week, full-time training programme run in collaboration with Code Institute that prepares learners for careers in the digital workforce as software developers.
