What is the course about?
History of Art for all. An exciting new course for the Pimlico Centre introduces you to the history of art. Artist and lecturer John Timberlake will explain what to look for when viewing art and will help you experience art at a deeper and more enriching level. On this course, you will develop background knowledge, hone skills to make connections between works and artists, and discover the joy of experiencing the wonder of great art. Join us for this local course that comprises classroom-based sessions and a final session as a guided visit to the Tate Britain or other place of art.
Open to all. No previous experience necessary.

Travel costs to art gallery visit for the final session. No equipment necessary.
You will have a deeper appreciation of famous artists and their art and have the confidence to visit cultural places on your own.
