Charlotte Wolf

Staff Governor

Charlotte currently works at WAES as the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Manager and has worked as a teacher for twenty-five years in the secondary school sector, in alternative provisions in west London, and now in adult education. She has lived in London all her adult life and loves bringing her boys up in a city which offers such diverse experiences and perspectives and encourages you to have your say.

She became a staff governor as she has been an education professional throughout her whole career, both in the classroom and in management roles. Since she started working at WAES, she has actively sought opportunities to advocate for lifelong learning as it empowers our learners through strengthening their skills, developing their careers and building community.

She has a range of skills and experiences that she brings to her role as a governor including excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, curriculum planning and training facilitation. She can lead a team effectively to collaborate and problem solve. She is good at strategic planning and people management. As a reflective thinker she enjoys being innovative and creative in her approach to leadership and management… and life!

At WAES, she plans to be a link Governor with Careers and Learner Development as she is keen to work with the team who support and guide the progression of our learners into meaningful next steps after completing their studies at WAES.

Her other interests include true storytelling. She has hosted live events and facilitated workshops which have given participants the opportunity to have their voice heard and build their confidence in spaces which create community and belonging. She has also hosted stand-up comedy nights for new comics starting out in their new careers.

Her course choice at WAES would be Graphic Design – so interesting, dynamic and creative.
