National Apprenticeship Week Celebration and Awards 2024

During National Apprenticeship Week 2024, WAES hosted its annual celebration and awards ceremony at The Maughan Library, King’s College, to commend the unwavering dedication and hard work exhibited by WAES apprentices and participating employers.

Gail Isaac, Head of Apprenticeships and Professional Pathways, extended a warm welcome to kick off the evening, followed by a compelling address from Errol Francis, Artistic Director, and CEO of Culture&.

The initial segment of the ceremony witnessed Arinola Edeh, WAES Principal, presenting certificates and trophies to our highly commended apprentices and employers. Jenny Pistella, Apprenticeship Manager, announced the winners in categories such as Outdoor Activity Instructor, Customer Service Practitioner, Museums and Galleries Technician, Cultural Learning Participation Officer, Library, Information and Archive Services, and Apprenticeship Employer of the Year. The latter part of the event was dedicated to recognizing the accomplishments of our graduate apprentices who successfully completed their apprenticeships.

The night concluded with closing remarks from Arinola, expressing gratitude to everyone for their collective efforts and contributions that have played a pivotal role in making WAES apprenticeships a resounding success.
