On Thursday, 19 September, WAES had the pleasure of welcoming Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business and Chair of London & Partners, to see adult learning in action at our Lisson Grove centre.
During his tour he had the opportunity to observe classes in ESOL, Hairdressing, and Graphic Design, followed by a productive discussion with WAES learner representatives and our learner governor, gaining valuable insights into the experience of studying as an adult.
Later in the afternoon, WAES is hosting the Deputy Mayor for a HOLEX roundtable session with adult learning providers across Greater London, for the sector to feed into the development of the London Growth Plan.
