The Origins Creatives Exhibition, presented by the University of the Arts London (UAL), officially opened it’s doors to the public at the Mall Galleries in Central London. The event featured a captivating collection of work by a handpicked group of exceptionally skilled learners, drawing crowds eager to experience the fresh vision of the UK’s emerging artists.
This year’s exhibition included a standout piece by Elise Harrison, a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Graphic Design learner at WAES. Her final project, “It’s Their Show (but the joke’s on you),” was selected from more than 600 submissions for inclusion in Origins Creatives 2025, UAL’s annual showcase of new creative talent.
“Being chosen to take part at this years UAL Origins Creative Exhibition was the perfect cherry on top to a years hard work. Walking into the opening night & seeing how busy it was felt amazing & quite surreal that I was there as one of the artists. When I finally found my work on the wall of the gallery i was taken aback & felt quite emotional which I wasn’t expecting, i’m very modest as a person & this actually allowed me to feel proud of myself & celebrate myself with my friends, family & college staff. I am ever grateful for my tutor Caroline & her endless commitment to her students, she really enabled me to understand how to use the creative tools available at college, which elevated my ideas allowing me to create work I am passionate about & that I had fun doing. I am excited to see where my art takes me next & I hope to find employment soon within the creative industry, its been a blast.” – Elise Harrison
Elise’s work exhibited alongside a diverse range of outstanding projects from students across the country, offering a glimpse into the future of the UK’s creative industries.
