From Wednesday 22 October, the London Living Wage increased by nearly 7%, rising from £13.85 to £14.80 per hour. This change means more adults in Greater London may now qualify for fully funded courses through the Adult Skills Fund and other learning schemes.
If you earn less than £14.80 per hour – equivalent to £28,860 per year for a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) – you may be eligible for free courses at WAES or other adult learning providers in London. Funding is also available for adults who are unemployed or receiving means-tested benefits. Additional requirements around age and residency also apply.
For learners living outside Greater London, the income threshold is £25,750 per year. Course availability and eligibility may vary depending on your location.
WAES also offers a wide range of full-cost courses for those who are not eligible for funding or who wish to pursue additional learning opportunities.
To check your eligibility either view our Fees & Funding page or you can contact our team for advice, or otherwise explore the wide range of courses we offer.
