Lord Mayor of Westminster Visits WAES

WAES had the pleasure of welcoming Councillor Robert Rigby, the Lord Mayor of Westminster, for the second time since the annual WAES Inclusive Pathways Awards. His return visit highlighted his continued commitment to supporting adult education and inclusivity within the community.

During his tour, the Lord Mayor had the opportunity to observe various classes, including Hair and Media Make-up, Maths, and Inclusive Pathways. Following the classroom visits, he engaged in a productive discussion with WAES learner representatives and the learner governor. This exchange offered him valuable insights into the adult learning experience, underscoring the significance of education at every stage of life.
