WAES Shortlisted for The Quality Professionals Awards

The Quality Professionals Awards is an annual celebration recognising the remarkable contributions of quality improvement specialists and leaders working in further education and employability. These professionals are instrumental in supporting delivery teams and shaping a brighter future for learners and job seekers. The awards shine a spotlight on individuals and teams whose dedication to quality assurance and compliance has significantly advanced their organisation’s goals.

The awards were established to raise the profile of quality assurance and compliance as fulfilling and impactful career paths. They also serve to highlight the professionalism and value that these roles bring to the sector.

We’re proud to share that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist for the ‘Quality Improvement Initiative of the Year’ award! This category recognises outstanding initiatives that have led to meaningful improvements in teaching, learning, employability support, and operational processes.

Our nominated initiative focuses on the delivery of Micro-Continuing Professional Development (Micro-CPD) programmes, curated by our dedicated Teaching and Learning Coaches. These themed sessions have been made accessible both online and in-person, with recordings and resources available on our intranet. This platform is evolving into a comprehensive one-stop training hub, with plans to expand access for other teams to share their own training and resources.

The award recognises efforts that are innovative, effective, and capable of creating lasting improvements for learners, staff, and the wider organisation. The winning initiative must also demonstrate potential for sustainability, scalability, and the ability to inspire best practice across the sector.

“It is a true honour to be shortlisted for this award which is all thanks to the TLCs working so creatively with me and each other to create meaningful CPD for the WAES teaching team.” – Charlotte Wolf, Teaching, Learning and Assessment Manager
