WAES Chosen as a Delivery Partner for Warm Homes Skills Programme

We are delighted to announce that, following a successful bid, WAES has been chosen as one of the delivery partners for Phase 1 of the Government’s Warm Homes Skills Programme.

An initiative of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, administered via the Midlands Net Zero Hub, the Warm Homes Skills Programme will run until July 2026 and provide up to 9,000 subsidised training opportunities for installers and retrofit professionals, including installing insulation and solar panels in homes and non-domestic properties.

WAES, as part of Westminster City Council, will offer 100 learners the AIM Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit to bring new talent into the retrofit sector. If you are interested in gaining this qualification, you can apply for the online course. If you live more locally, you can apply to study the course in person in our new retrofitted Green Skills Innovation Centre at our Lisson Grove centre – check out the video below to see some of the bespoke learning facilities on offer.
